How to dress your child during the rainy season
The cold and rainy period is upon us. It is that time of the year filled with lots of water and coldness all
around. We must ensure that our kids are well protected from the cold. Since the weather is
unpredictable, and could go from sunny to rainy in no time.
It is advisable that you dress your kids warm enough so that if it rains, they won’t be too cold. You can
as well keep an extra piece of clothing (sweater or jackets) in your children’s back packs. If it’s raining,
make sure their outerwear and footwear is suitable.
You might want to consider investing some money in getting them raincoats and boots. You should
also get them a little umbrella that they can use when moving from vehicles into buildings while it’s
raining.
Water-penetrated clothes can decrease their body temperature and put them at high risk of catching
a cold. So don’t take them out in the rain unless they are suitably dressed. When sending kids off to
school or out to play, make sure they’re dressed warmly in clothes that are wind- and waterproof.
Help your little ones stay warm with adequate head, face, hands, and neck protection. Cover up your
babies with their caps, mittens, socks, cardigans and shawls. Protect your kids from the cold during
this rainy season.
